Primary and Secondary Succession
Primary Succession in when a natural disaster happens and in destroys the environment around it and there is no soil for plants to grow back. Then, after a long period of time the area with no soil creates soil for plant life to grow in.
Secondary Succession is when a natural or man made disaster happens and it destroys an environment, but the soil is still there for the plant life to grow again. the pictures illustrate a secondary succession that is currently happening in the grasslands. Due to the low precipitation rate in the grasslands it is very common for the grass to combust randomly or if lightning strikes.
